The Boston Bruins will be facing off against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday night (Nov. 9). This is an important game, as the Senators are just three points behind the Bruins. If the Bruins lose to them in regulation, Ottawa would only trail them by one point.
Let’s discuss three Bruins who fans should watch extra closely in this one.
Jeremy Swayman
Jeremy Swayman is easily the top Bruin to watch against the Senators. This will be the first time Swayman will face Ullmark since the 2023 Vezina Trophy winner was traded to Ottawa.
Swayman will also look to bounce back from an iffy start against the Toronto Maple Leafs, as he allowed three goals on 26 shots.
Mark Kastelic
This will be a big game for Mark Kastelic, as it is his first time playing the Sens since being dealt to Boston. The 25-year-old forward spent three seasons with the Senators, where he had 14 goals and 25 points in 144 games.
Kastelic’s start with the Bruins has been excellent, as he has three goals, seven points, 64 hits, and a plus-8 rating in 15 games. He will look to stay hot against Ottawa from here.
Trent Frederic
Trent Frederic‘s start to the season has not been great. In his first 15 games, he has one goal, two assists, and a minus-10 rating. He also has not recorded a point in six straight games. He will now look to change that against the Senators.
Frederic showed last season that he can produce offensively, posting 18 goals and 40 points in 82 games. Let’s see if he can again show signs of that form against the Senators.
