A Boston Bruins reporter made a statement revealing the team may be sellers at this year’s trade deadline.
It’s no secret the Boston Bruins have not been good this year and have not lived up to expectations at all, and a new report from a Boston Bruins insider may suggest that they are set to be sellers at the deadline.
The team already made a big change by firing Jim Montgomery, and there have been reports that more changes could come for the Bruins, but now they may be sellers at the deadline following a new report.
Steve Conroy, who has covered the Boston Bruins since 2001 for the Boston Herald, has suggested that the team may be retooling at this year’s deadline. In one of his posts on X, a fan stated that it’s time for the Bruins to retool, and he agreed with the fan but stated that if the Bruins were to do it, it would be done at the deadline.
Take a look:

It might be time for that at the deadline, but not right now

With their win yesterday against the New York Islanders, the Boston Bruins are back in a playoff spot as they now sit third in the Atlantic Division and bumped Tampa Bay into a wildcard spot, but the Lightning have 3 games in hand on the Bruins and are only one point behind them.
The Boston Bruins have a very steep hill to climb this year if they want to make it to the playoffs, whether it be a wildcard spot or not, and they have been better under Joe Sacco, but they haven’t been great still.
If the Bruins do end up missing the playoffs, there is a good chance that we see them being sellers at the trade deadline as the core is starting to age.
