The Boston Bruins return to the ice on Tuesday (Nov. 26) to face off against the Vancouver Canucks. The Bruins will look to extend their winning streak to three games.
While speaking to reporters, Bruins head coach Joe Sacco confirmed the Original Six club will be making a change to their lineup against Vancouver. Recent call-up Marc McLaughlin will be in the lineup for the Bruins and play on the third line with Trent Frederic and Charlie Coyle. Meanwhile, Tyler Johnson will be scratched.
This will be McLaughlin’s first game with the NHL squad this season. He was recalled to the Boston’s roster after scoring a goal in five straight games for the Providence Bruins. With Providence this season, he has 10 points in 15 contests.
In 14 career NHL games with the Bruins over three seasons, McLaughlin has four goals and a minus-1 rating.
Johnson recorded his first point as a Bruin in the club’s latest matchup against the Detroit Red Wings. However, he will now be taking a seat against the Canucks.
In six games this season with the Bruins, Johnson has one assist and a plus-3 rating.
