NFL fans are praying for Deshaun Watson’s family heading into the season opener on Sunday.
Watson and the Cleveland Browns are scheduled to open the 2024 regular season on a big stage. The Browns will be hosting the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday afternoon. It’ll be Tom Brady’s first game for Fox Sports.
It’s a big game for Watson, too. He struggled at times in 2023, following his return from suspension, and many are wondering if he’s still an elite quarterback.
Watson is playing with a heavy heart on Sunday afternoon, too. He recently lost his father.
NFL fans are praying for his family. It’s never easy to lose a parent.
“Damn. Prayers up to Watson and his family,” one fan wrote.
“Damn, RIP to Mr. Watson,” one fan added.
“Sad. Praying for the Watson Family,” one fan added.
“Prayers up, man, never a good time to say goodbye to your parents,” another fan wrote.
Our thoughts are with his friends and family members during this difficult time.
The Browns and the Cowboys are scheduled to kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday afternoon.
The Week 1 NFL game will air on FOX.
