The Cowboys have long been hailed as America’s team. Don’t tell that to linebacker Micah Parsons, who thinks Dallas, unlike the Eagles, has recently become public enemy No. 1.
The two-time Pro Bowler didn’t speak to the media after the Cowboys defeated the Chargers 20-17 on Monday night. Instead, he took to his podcast “The Edge” to sound off on the press on Tuesday.

I just don’t condone the bashing of Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys and have the same energy for the Eagles. We want the same energy for everybody. There’s a whole bunch of bashing when it’s Dak Prescott, but not the same when it’s the Eagles.
Prescott took a lot of flak for his performance in Dallas’s 42-10 loss to the 49ers in Week 5. San Francisco’s suffocating defense held him to 14-of-24 passing for 153 yards, one touchdown, and a season-high three interceptions. His 51.6 quarterback rating that game was a season-worst for the 30-year-old.
Against the Chargers in Week 6, Prescott responded by having one of his best games of the season. He completed 21-of-30 (70%) passes for a season-high 272 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. His 109.3 quarterback rating on Sunday was the second-highest of the season for the two-time Pro Bowler.
Still, Parsons feels his team – his quarterback in particular – aren’t given enough respect.
“Why is it that we are just scrubs and we’re nobodies that don’t deserve to be on the field and we’re just all talk? But there’s a hundred excuses for these other teams,” Parsons said on his podcast. “If y’all just going to hate Cowboys Nation, just say y’all hate Cowboys Nation. I’m tired of people trashing my quarterback. I’m tired of people trashing my team and that’s why I had nothing to say to the media this week.
