Last week was an emotional game for Buffalo Bills players as they returned to the field where Damar Hamlin went into cardiac arrest last season.
This week, former Buffalo Bills running back Devin Singletary had his own emotional moment at Paycor Stadium when he walked into the visiting team’s locker room. Upon entering, Singletary was stunned to find that he had the same exact locker stall as he did last year in early January.
Singletary said the moment gave him goosebumps.
”Walking into the stadium and seeing I had the same exact locker as I did for last year‘s game gave me goosebumps,” Singletary told Syracuse.com. “I took a moment to think back to last year and everything that happened on that night. I had D-Ham on my mind. Case Keenum saw that I was deep in my thoughts and asked if I was okay. I regrouped and knew I am here on a mission to win the game.”
Singletary certainly played like a man on a mission. The back had a career day in the Texans’ 30-27 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, rushing for 150 yards and one touchdown on 30 carries and adding an additional 11 yards on one reception. Following the win, the Texans, perhaps the surprise team of the AFC, sit at 5-4.
“It was definitely great to get a win today in that stadium,” Singletary added.
